scanning on DVDs with many bogus files.

100% when reading DVDs with lots of data files (not movie
files).

of what the software is doing when it scans, particularly
movies with large numbers of titlesets (up to 99 in some
cases).
Bug fixes:
Copying DVDs which are not DVD-ROMs (original DVDs) used to
fail - it now works for DVDs authored by other software or
copied.
closing the application could give an error message in Vista
- this has been resolved.
5.2.1.1
(May 7, 2007) Patin Couffin has been restored as the
default ASPI layer for reading and writing. If Patin Couffin
is disabled or removed, SPTI will be used for reading and
writing. This version fixes a bug in Win98 which caused the
application to freeze if Patin Couffin was not installed.
The bonus software (CopyToDVD SE) has been updated to
version 4.
5.2.1.0
(May 7, 2007) This version fixes a bug in the Episode

where a change in volume name didn't get detected on Exact
copy.
The
application now notifies users to temporarily disable AnyDVD
during burning if they are formatting a RW disc on Vista
(This warning does not apply to +R and -R DVDs). It appears
that AnyDVD blocks the format command sent to the DVD
writer. If you disable AnyDVD, then the format command gets
to the writer correctly.
Changes:
An updated burn engine - more support for SATA and new high
speed writers.
Patin Couffin
device driver installation has been improved - the progress
bar no longer masks the driver certificate popup (first time
driver is installed on Vista).
A new DVD access layer which uses SPTI (Patin Couffin is no
longer required but is installed as the default writing
layer). By default, SPTI is used for reading, Patin Couffin
for writing. If Patin Couffin is not installed or it's
disabled, SPTI will be used for reading and writing.
Win98 does not support SPTI, so Patin Couffin must be used
for reading and writing on this OS.
The new SPTI access layer now supports AnyDVD's "safe mode"
setting.
Support has been added for copying DVDs which are authored
with a corrupt UDF file system (these DVDs can't be played
on Microsoft Media Center or Windows Media Player - it's a
sad day when they go this far to protect a movie).
Support for
language localization added (French language supported,
others will follow).
Logging of DMA
mode for DVD devices has been added.
5.1.1.9
(March 20, 2007) Updates: This version includes a CPRx
update for movies that are authored similarly to "Casino
Royale" and "The Holiday", which may contain bad sectors.
Bug Fixes: We no longer check hard disc space if we are
doing an exact copy from a folder (no caching required).
Added: If you attempt to overwrite data in a "Destination"
folder with the same name as the current DVD volume, you
will get a warning message.
5.1.1.6

enabled or disabled using the "Enable CPRx error correction"
option.

(Feb 3, 2007) Bug fix: Changes to the menu item "Enable
CPRx error correction" were ignored, despite the interface

sectors.

Windows Vista auto update (Jan 30, 2007) which causes the
following error: I/O error 105, which is now fixed.
5.1.1.3
(Jan 30, 2007) This version contains a CPRx update and
several bug fixes to deal with movies like "Saw III".
The log and settings files are now stored in the Public
documents folder (Vista) and in the "...All
Users/Application Data" folder for all other versions of
Windows to avoid user rights issues.
5.1.0.7
(Jan 22, 2007) Per-machine application data files
(1click.log and settings.ini) are now stored in the public
documents folder (all versions of Windows, including Vista).
This prevents virtualization of common application data if
the application is used by more than one user on Windows
Vista. Write permission (on Vista) for the Destination and
Temporary folders are now checked when a user attempts to
change folder using using either browse folder buttons.
5.1.0.5
(Jan 16, 2007) This new release contains a CPRx update,
a new device driver, changes required for Vista
compatibility and bug fixes.
New:
CPRx updated to deal with movies like "Decent" and "All
the Kings Men", which reported bad sectors.
Patin Couffin (ASPI device driver) updated to version 37 and
digitally signed (more compatibility with 20x and 24x
drives).
Changes:
The "Delete Working folder after successful burn(s)"
has been renamed to "Delete temporary files". If enabled
(which is the default), all temporary files inside the
working folder will be deleted each time a copy is made.
Vista Users will now be prevented from writing to folders in
which they have no permission to write (unless they are
admin users). If this is not done, Vista (32 bit) will
virtualize your writes and the data will appear in the
VirtualStore (not where you expect it).
The option to "Delete Working folder after successful burn(s)"
which appeared in the "Burn DVD" window (just prior to
burning) has been removed since it is superseded by the
right click option "Delete temporary files".
Bug fixes:
Corrected over compression of movies which required a
"second pass" (a second attempt to copy the DVD using a
smaller target size).

handle movies like "An American Haunting" and improves
playback for poorly authored DVDs.

5.0.2.8 which prevented the update notification from working
correctly on program startup. Checking for a newer version
from the Registration Window did work correctly.
5.0.2.8
(Sept 30, 2006) This version contains a CPRx update to
improve the playback on some fussy DVD players which would
jump back to the beginning of the movie if you fast forward,
pause and fast forward again.

authored similar to "RV" and a bug was fixed which caused
bad sectors to be ignored on DVDs like "Silent Hill". The exit code
was improved to prevent errors from occurring when the application is closed during a DVD polling
cycle. The DVD tray no longer ejects after inserting a blank
DVD when making multiple copies of the same movie.
5.0.1.0
(Aug 15, 2006) This update includes an updated burn
engine and an updated ASPI DVD device driver. The new
installation program now provides you the option of checking
to see if you are eligible to use the update before you
install it over top of a previous 5.x version.
5.0.0.18
(Aug 6, 2006) Fixes problem using software as trial.
5.0.0.17
(Aug 3, 2006)
-
Fixed a
bug which prevented copying when the Source is a hard
disk folder. Although this problem may have appeared to
be a compression error, it was in fact due to the Source
folder being used to burn the DVD instead of the Working
folder.
-
Improved
the response of the close button so the application
closes on the first click.
-
A
subfolder named "1ClickDVDCopy" is now appended to the
user selected Working Folder to prevent Source and
Working folder collisions.
-
Changed
the text on the update notification message from "1CLICK
DVD COPY PRO" to "1CLICK DVD COPY".
5.0.0.15
Released July 24, 2006
-
Integrated burn engine (previously only in the PRO
version).
- Real
time log viewer - monitor copying / burning status in
real time.
-
Custom settings - volume name, write speed, burn mode
and more.
-
Update notification - notifies you when new updates are
available.
- CPRx™
technology for copying new DVD movies.
4.2.9.13
(June 22, 2006) Updated registration system.
4.2.9.11
(June 09, 2006) CPRx updated to handle cases where bogus VOB
files exist in which all sectors of the VOB are invalid. It
also displays a message box instead of crashing if a user
tries to copy a CD/DVD which does not contain a movie (left
in the tray by accident for example).
4.2.9.10
(June 04, 2006) CPRx updated to improve playback on some DVD
players (ex. Sony) and now handles new movies like 'Freedom
Land'. Improved episode DVD detection.
4.2.9.9
(May 24, 2006) CPRx update to address movies like "When a
Stranger Calls" which contain bad sectors and bad DVD
structure.
4.2.9.8
(May 21, 2006)
Fixes a bug introduced in 4.2.9.7 which caused the extras on
some DVDs to not get compressed - this could result in
a loss of video quality on the feature movie or DVDs which
could not be compressed to fit on a DVD5. Fixed a bug
which prevented the progress bar and title and disc %
completed from being updated while copying some files when
the source is a HD folder.
4.2.9.7
CPRx has now been completely integrated in all copy modes.
Prior to this change you were forced to choose from
transcoding (with or without compression) when making an
"Exact copy" (using Dual Layer media) of a DVD with bad
sectors, unless you were using the PRO version. Now CPRx is
available now in all copy modes in the regular 1CLICK DVD
COPY. CPRx error correction can now be enabled or disabled
using the 'F3' keyboard key. We recommend you do not disable
this feature unless you have another program (like AnyDVD
for example) which will do the error correction for you. The
current CPRx error correction is now indicated in the log
file. Update Notification can now be enabled or disabled
using the 'F4' keyboard key. We recommend you do not disable
this feature, otherwise you will not be notified of new
updates.
4.2.9.6
This update improves the CPRx error handling.
4.2.9.5
Fixed a problem copying DVDs made with personal DVD
recorders. Some DVD recorders do not author DVDs according
to spec, which in some cases made them appear corrupted.
4.2.9.4
Fixed the "Current Title %" progress display problem. 1CLICK
now forces Internet Explorer (for displaying html pages) if
a default browser has not been enabled. 1CLICK will now
disable AnyDVD's "Safe Mode" option which is not compatible
with most DVD Copy software. The "?" button will now only
show the help guide. Previously, if the software was not
registered, it would show the registration window when
clicked. The registration window will always appear if the
software is not registered, unless the software is in trial
mode. During the trial you can answer "Yes" when asked if
you want to register, or force the registration window to
appear anytime using the "F2" keyboard hot key.
4.2.9.3 -
NEW! Includes CPRx™ technology to facilitate copying
DVDs with bad sectors and bad DVD structure. Updated
registration dialog which auto registers new versions.
Update notification when new versions are available for
download. Improved functionality of the "?" button to give
the User Guide when the application is registered. New hot
Key: F2 (Opens the Registration window). Updated the
User Guide.
4.2.9.2
Improved movie PGC
selection in movies with seamless branching (wrong PGC
selection could have resulted in no audio or incorrect audio
track).
4.2.9.1
Fixed a bug in the 4.2.9.0 setup program (not the combo
setup) which caused the error ('Burn engine not installed")
because of a bad installation path. Latest version detects
absence of Patin Couffin DVD device driver (when CopyToDVD
is uninstalled for example) and re-installs it
automatically. New hot keys added: F7 opens the "c2cd.log"
file, F8 opens "1click.log" file and F9 launches the
CopyToDVD Properties (burn engine settings) dialog.
The combo
setup program has been removed from download page - both
programs can be installed separately. 1CLICK DVD COPY
will no longer use the CopyToDVD engine in the VSO folder,
it will now use it's own CopyToDVD engine in the application
folder. CopyToDVD can be updated or removed - 1CLICK DVD
COPY is not dependent on the version of CopyToDVD installed.
4.2.9.0
Updated burning engine and CopyToDvd to version 3.1.1
4.2.1.5 Improved handling of badly authored original
DVD movies. Fixes an error reported by CopyToDVD burning
engine during IFO file reallocation.
4.2.1.3 Improved handling of badly authored original
DVD movies. Includes update of CopyToDVD SE 3.0.56.
4.2.1.2
Improved episode detection and elimination of a potential
error during episode detection.
4.2.1.1
Released (June 20/05)
Beta
4.2.1.1 Fixes a bug in all 4.2.x.x versions which
occurred only when a DVD was missing a file called "VIDEO_TS.VOB"
(menu) and the option "Movie Menus" was enabled.
Beta
4.2.1.0 Solves the DVD caching problem of Windows XP.
All reading is now done at the device driver level,
including reading of IFO files. This works around the
problem of Windows caching the previous DVD since no calls
are made to the Window I/O functions anymore. Minor fix:
replaced the broken link to FAQ page with a link to our
website FAQ page.
4.2.0.9
Fixed a bug which caused errors when doing an "exact copy"
of a DVD that also includes files only playable on a
computer. Fixed a bug which showed the wrong error message:
"Access layer is either not present or outdated..." instead
of "...This DVD is encrypted..." when trying to make an
exact copy of an encrypted disc without a decrypter active.
4.2.0.8
Released (May 11/05)
-
Improved reading of DVDs - no more false detection of
encrypted discs.
-
Improved playback of movies with menus, extras, or
episodes.
-
File
caching on all disc to disc (exact copies) to eliminate
burn underrun.
-
Improved burning engine and CopyToDVD version 3.0.54
-
Improved accuracy of compression estimate at startup.
-
Improved device detection - USB drives being unplugged
for example.
-
Added a settings log file to improve support:
"1click.log"
-
Added an alternate burn engine (enabled on request) for
cases where default engine fails.
-
Added VSO online DVD media statistics to gather data to
improve burn engine (option to disable available at time
of install or later).
-
Minor change to GUI - "Include Extras" is now called
"Episodes or Extras".
Beta
4.2.0.7 Minor GUI text changes. Improved writing speed
of alternate burn engine. Removed missing writers
(unplugged USB) from the drive enumeration list (Source and
Destination).
Beta
4.2.0.6 Added more detail to the 1Click log file. Made
some cosmetic changes to the GUI to make it look nicer in
Win98 and WinME. Fixed the Reg Key problem in Win98/ME/2000
to disable VSO stats gathering.
Beta
4.2.0.5 Updated burning engine and CopyToDVD to 3.0.54
which improves support for some drives. Added VSO stats
gathering for media and drive models - see help file for
more details.
Beta
4.2.0.4 Fixed the bug: "The titleset doesn't seem to
exist" which appeared when copying some DVDs from the hard
drive.
Beta
4.2.0.3 Improved compression estimate at startup.
Improved DVD device detection (Source and Destination).
Beta
4.2.0.2 Fixed a bug in 4.2.0.1 which prevented the temp
folder from being removed after a successful copy. Fixed a
bug which prevented exact copies from a hard disk.
Beta
4.2.0.1 Fixed a bug in 4.2.0.0 which could result in an
oversized copy ie. > 4.37 GB. This only occurred in rare
cases when an IFO file was larger that 64 KB. Improved
compression estimate at start up.
Beta
4.2.0.0 Improved reading of DVDs and less likely to
falsely detect an encrypted DVD. Improved playback on DVDs
copied with "include extras" or "movie menus" enabled.
Improved "exact copy" which now deals with the Windows XP
caching problems. Low level reading bypasses Windows I/O
calls and will always see the real content of the DVD, not
what Windows had cached from the previous disc. Improved
burning with the new CopyToDVD version 3.0.51 engine. Also
included a new embedded burning engine (alternate) for those
who have problems with CopyToDVD. The alternate engine is
engaged by a registry key setting. For those that know what
they are doing, you can get the reg keys to change the
default burn engine:
change_burn_engine.zip
4.1.1.8
Fixed "Kernal32.dll" exception error which occurred on Win98
and WinMe. This was caused by an incompatible "Patin
Couffin" DVD device driver released by VSO in their latest
burning engine update and CopyToDVD SE (version 3.0.49). All
new versions of 1Click DVD Copy (including 4.1.1.8) will be
compatible with the new device driver, while previous
versions of 1Click DVD Copy (running on Win98 and WinMe) are
not compatible with the new driver, so users must update
their 1Click DVD Copy if they wish to use the new CopyToDVD
(version 3.0.49 and beyond).
4.1.1.7 Updated the burning engine and CopyToDVD SE to
version 3.0.49 which improves stability over the version
3.0.47 burn engine and CopyToDVD SE.
4.1.1.6
Fixed a bug in the installation script which left older
versions of DVD2DVD.DLL in the application path which caused
1Click DVD Copy to have an error at runtime. Latest version
will warn of outdated DLL instead of giving an error at
runtime.
4.1.1.5
Updated burning engine and CopyToDVD SE version 3.0.48 which
resolves some issues with Sony DRU500 and Sony DRU510 DVD
writers. Users that upgrade must register again.
4.1.1.4
Fixed a bug introduced in 4.1.1.3 which could cause a read
error if you copy more than one movie without closing the
software between copies.
4.1.1.3
Fixed a bug introduced in 4.1.1.2 which occurred only on
DVDs where two aspect ratios were present - the copy could
have no audio. Also, when including extras, both aspect
ratios were copied.
4.1.1.2
Improved episode detection. Fixed a bug which occasionally
prevented wide-screen aspect ratio from being selected when
more than one aspect ratio exists on the DVD. 1Click is
designed to only copy the wide-screen aspect ratio if it's
available, to preserve image quality.
4.1.1.1
Fixed a bug which caused some movies to only copy the first
few minutes.
4.1.1.0
Enabled DVD busy (in use) DVD device to be displayed in the
list of DVD devices (Options dilaog).
4.1.0.8
Beta Removed bad sector detection which caused false
warnings of bad sectors on some DVDs. Updated burning engine
and CopyToDVD SE to version 3.0.42

menus. Improved Episode DVD copying. Removed memory leak
which slowed the software if successive copies were made
before closing he application. Updated burning engine and

Fixed "Access violation" error in CopyToDVD burn engine
whenever the label on the original DVD was blank.
4.1.0.5
Official release Dec 1/ 2004.
4.1.0.5
Fixed false episode DVD detection.

on some machines. Increased the target size to 4.3 GB (from
4.1 GB).

Fixed label name written on final DVD. Added a
'1ClickDVDCopy' sub folder to the working folder.
4.1.0.2
Fixed bug where working folder was not respected.
4.1.0.1
Fixed bug which prevented burning engine from being called
properly.
